UTERINE HEALTH
Fertile animals are essential for a dairy farm. The cow’s uterus goes through a process of restoration before being able to restart the reproductive cycle. A healthy uterus positively influences fertility parameters. Good fertility is crucial for economic results as well as being an indicator on individual cow health and welfare.
The AHV Fertility program focuses on optimal fertility and longevity, which improves well-being of your cow and better job satisfaction for the dairy farmer.
How we work
Each program within AHV Cows & Calves is based on a predefined approach. The Uterine program consists of 3 levels of support to keep the uterus clean and support the fertility cycle. Allow the AHV Specialist together with you to assess herd health based on analysis of milk recordings, robot data and farm goals.
Benefits
Technology
AHV offers a Uterine Health Program with products that have been developed using the most effective, complete ingredients, balanced according to the latest insights. Additional attention is given to products in the Uterine health Program with regards to user and application friendliness, beneficial for both farmer and cow, considering they are all to be administered orally.
Animal health
Supporting the cow’s fertility and restart of the reproductive cycleis important to uphold good production values and animal health in general on the modern dairy farm. The metabolic and physical changes that the cow’s body undergoes impact future production as well as her direct and indirect health status.
Financial
Animals that are healthy, produce more optimally and require less intervention. This means that paying attention to the cow’s uterine cleansing process and related health status after calving, results in a higher total of milk yields and less unexpected costs.
