As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Jan de Rooy has been involved with the company from the start. Jan graduated as an Msc and also owns two bachelor degrees.

Driven and determined, he works daily on his goal: to introduce the concept and solutions of AHV International to livestock farmers all over the world, and build a multinational platform with AHV.

As a veterinarian Gertjan Streefland already experienced years ago that there were less and less good resources available for our animals. While studying microbiology, he came across the fact that bacteria are able to ‘talk’ to each other. This biochemical communication enables them to become active or inactive as a group. With AHV, we have succeeded in developing a broad range of innovative solutions from a new approach.

Maarten works at AHV International as Chief Research & Product Development at our Headquarters. He focuses on further substantiation and extension of the Ruminant portfolio and on developing and introducing the Swine, Aqua and Poultry portfolio. He will be the link between our fundamental research and product management. With his 27 years of working experience in compound feed and feed additives in different managerial functions, Maarten knows how to take steps from ideation to a complete and sustainable solution that fits the needs of our customers.

Peter works at AHV International as Chief Production Officer and strives to achieve the highest level of production, logistic and quality standards, while focusing on the future.

Since the opening of the UK&IR office, Adam has been the Managing Director here. Adam has extensive experience in the agriculture industry. He has worked at Animal Nutrition and worked for Ballance Agri Nutrients in New Zealand for 5 years.

Adam’s role is to grow with the company in the agricultural industry, with a focus on dairy. He is also responsible for educating farmers on our highly innovative products.

Since May Gaël started at AHV as Managing Director for our French office. He is responsible for running this branch.

Gaël already has a lot of experience in the agricultural industry and with supplementary animal feed. He worked for Hypred as sales manager and later as director in Canada for the North American market. Gaël has also worked for Groupe Cooperatif Le Gouessant as Director of the Minerals and Nutritional Supplements Division.

Since January 2021, Edoardo has been Managing Director of AHV Italy. His job is to help farmers in Italy, set up and expand our Italian branch.

Edoardo has a lot of experience in management and has been working in the agricultural sector for more than 27 years. Edoardo has recently worked as ST Ruminant Manager Italy for Phileo by Lesaffre and, previously, as Dairy Nutritionist and Sales Manager for various companies both local and multinational.

In May 2020 Dirk Ulrich joined the AHV International organization as the Managing Director for our branch office in Münich, Germany. Dirk has over 14 years of experience in leading positions in the agriculture and telecommunication industry.

“Agriculture 4.0 has only just begun and there is a need for young, creative companies and ideas that can find solutions for the challenges of the agricultural sector and at the same time create new innovations. My aim is to work with AHV to break through existing structures and initiate a new chapter in animal health”.

Before becoming involved with Animal Health Vision, Paul had been an AI Technician for a lengthy number of years, working with the world leader in bovine genetics.

With a long-established career in the Dairy Industry Paul is the essence of what AHV stands for – innovation and experience.

“In life we strive to make a difference, and that is no different here at AHV. I believe we are and continuing to accomplish a major milestone in the Industry when it comes to animal health with the help of the science of Quorum Sensing. I am very excited to see what the future holds for us.”

George joined AHV in March 2020. George is Sales Manager for the Republic of Ireland. He primarily focuses on educating, motivating and mentoring the sales advisors. Additionally, getting out and speaking with farmers about our products is high on his responsibility list.

George grew op on a farm and worked in the Agri sales for 5 years. Agriculture has always been a part of him and a part of his life.

“I contribute by prioritising a first class customer service experience. I am passionate about the ongoing positive results the AHV products are providing to our customers. Our team are both individually and collectively committed to delivering this. We are seeing growth within the Irish market that shows how well AHV is being received within the farming community.”

Doug is passionate about facilitating the adoption of innovation within dairy, making a difference to the British Dairy Industry with the AHV solutions. With years of experience partnering and delivering solutions with national and international agricultural producers, he is focused on motivating and supporting the British farmers.

Previously, Nils worked as a veterinarian at MSD Animal Health in England. He has also worked at Boehringer Ingelheim, IDT Biologika and Ceva Santa Animale.

Karla has been working at AHV since January 2020. Karla is responsible for business development, building and maintaining relationship with clients. She also helps with achieving long-term organizational strategic goals and is working with the internal team, marketing staff and managers to increase sales opportunities. She is also responsible for coordination of all AHV Adria offices.

Lauren joined AHV in September 2020. Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge to AHV having previously worked for many years in financial services & office admin. Lauren co-ordinates & supports the sales consultants at our office in the Republic of Ireland.

Since August 2020, Lex works as Chief Innovation at AHV International. His role within this position is to manage the R&D department and to monitor AHV’s patent portfolio.

Lex has a lot of work experience in biotechnology. His career started from biotechnology in industry. He moved from industry to agriculture, focusing on the application of microorganisms in agriculture and horticulture. From agriculture and horticulture he switched to AHV and focused on the control of harmful microbes in animal husbandry. Lex previously worked at Gist-brocades, DSM, Heineken Groen Agro Control and Biotech Microbials B.V.

Since March 2020, Shaista has been working at AHV International as Lead Scientist. As Lead Scientist, Shaista is responsible for the developments within AHV at the modelling level which can lead to biological activities.

Before this, Shaista gained a lot of work experience in the pharma industry and at universities. From normal scientist to lead scientist, Shaista has worked at companies such as Neem Biotech Limited, Eurofins and Solvay.

Since December 2020, Maarten Elshout has been working as Director of Finance & Control of AHV International. Maarten studied MSc Accountancy and graduated as a Chartered Accountant. He worked at PwC for 13 years, first as an accountant, later as an advisor in mergers and acquisitions.

Emil is Head of Finance of AHV Adria since October 2020. His tasks are finance reporting to all stakeholders, business analysis, budgeting and forecasting, administrative supervising, and all other finance matters. Previously, he worked in Norway for two years to track various construction projects, regarding cost and scheduling.

Arun heads AHV’s global marketing & communications, brand and creative departments. He focuses on the strategy, development, and experience of AHV as a brand.

He works closely with the Global Product Team on AHV’s concepts and programs, and with the Global Legal Team on regulatory and compliance, as part of directing and curating the presentation of the AHV brand to clients, stakeholders, and the public domain.

Arun builds on more than 20 years of experience in the area of creative work, advertising, and branding. His broad portfolio includes a variety of international clients in a wide variety of industries and international B2C and B2B markets.

Japkje Ine Koning joined AHV International in 2019 and took on the role of growing the AHV brand through its online channels. After her thesis research on AHV’s brand image, and graduating in the summer of 2020, she joined AHV on a full-time basis and continues to oversee and manage an international team and AHV’s collection of native channels.

Hailing from the beautiful province of Friesland in The Netherlands, she grew up on a farm. She studied Business Economy at Windesheim University of Applied Science in Zwolle, The Netherlands.
