As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Jan de Rooy has been involved with the company from the start. Jan graduated as an Msc and also owns two bachelor degrees.

Driven and determined, he works daily on his goal: to introduce the concept and solutions of AHV International to livestock farmers all over the world, and build a multinational platform with AHV.

As a veterinarian Gertjan Streefland already experienced years ago that there were less and less good resources available for our animals. While studying microbiology, he came across the fact that bacteria are able to ‘talk’ to each other. This biochemical communication enables them to become active or inactive as a group. With AHV, we have succeeded in developing a broad range of innovative solutions from a new approach.

Henry Berger brings over 25 years of executive leadership in the Animal Health sector, with particular expertise in Livestock and Ruminant health across global markets. As Global Head of Strategic Marketing for Ruminants at Merial/Boehringer Ingelheim, he managed global teams and brands like Ivomec, Eprinex and many other blockbusters, having achieved growth rates significantly outpacing market averages.

His international career spans multiple continents, having held senior positions in the United States, Germany, France, APAC and Brazil. Still at Boehringer Ingelheim, Henry also led Global Strategic Partnerships and the Diagnostics & Digital Monitoring Business Unit with focus in Swine, while at VetFamily/Vimian Group, he established the largest Companion Animals Veterinary Clinics and Hospitals Community in Brazil with record customer acquisition rates.

Holding a MSc, PhD and MBA degrees, and fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and some French, Henry combines scientific expertise with strong commercial acumen, cultivating high-performance teams across diverse cultural environments. His leadership approach emphasizes collaboration and operational excellence, consistently delivering exceptional results in complex, multinational organizations.

Maarten works at AHV International as Chief Research & Product Development at our Headquarters. He focuses on further substantiation and extension of the Ruminant portfolio and on developing and introducing the Swine, Aqua and Poultry portfolio. He will be the link between our fundamental research and product management. With his 27 years of working experience in compound feed and feed additives in different managerial functions, Maarten knows how to take steps from ideation to a complete and sustainable solution that fits the needs of our customers.

Since August 2020, Lex works as Chief Innovation at AHV International. His role within this position is to manage the R&D department and to monitor AHV’s patent portfolio.

Lex has a lot of work experience in biotechnology. His career started from biotechnology in industry. He moved from industry to agriculture, focusing on the application of microorganisms in agriculture and horticulture. From agriculture and horticulture he switched to AHV and focused on the control of harmful microbes in animal husbandry. Lex previously worked at Gist-brocades, DSM, Heineken Groen Agro Control and Biotech Microbials B.V.

Since the opening of the UK&IR office, Adam has been the Managing Director here. Adam has extensive experience in the agriculture industry. He has worked at Animal Nutrition and worked for Ballance Agri Nutrients in New Zealand for 5 years.

Adam’s role is to grow with the company in the agricultural industry, with a focus on dairy. He is also responsible for educating farmers on our highly innovative products.

Since May Gaël started at AHV as Managing Director for our French office. He is responsible for running this branch.

Gaël already has a lot of experience in the agricultural industry and with supplementary animal feed. He worked for Hypred as sales manager and later as director in Canada for the North American market. Gaël has also worked for Groupe Cooperatif Le Gouessant as Director of the Minerals and Nutritional Supplements Division.

Before becoming involved with Animal Health Vision, Paul had been an AI Technician for a lengthy number of years, working with the world leader in bovine genetics.

With a long-established career in the Dairy Industry Paul is the essence of what AHV stands for – innovation and experience.

With over a decade immersed in the sales sector within the field of animal nutrition, leveraging my expertise as a PhD, I have spearheaded the development of innovative products in collaboration with colleagues and clients alike. This journey is not solely about crafting solutions, but also about fostering dynamic partnerships that drive progress in the animal nutrition industry

Karla has been working at AHV since January 2020. Karla is responsible for business development, building and maintaining relationship with clients. She also helps with achieving long-term organizational strategic goals and is working with the internal team, marketing staff and managers to increase sales opportunities.
